These beautiful vingettes have been produced by our evaluator Dr Becky Parry and illustrated by our design and illustration lead Ruth Dyer. They are an experimentation of storytelling, creative writing and illustration as tools to help us reflect on the impact of our work. Through these mediums, we explore how our unique pedagogies create moments where children take the lead in shaping narratives. These experiences are vibrant, sometimes noisy and always unpredictable, requiring us as teachers and practitioners to embrace risk and trust in both the class and the process. Through storytelling, we can think deeply about how to ensure that children experience what it feels like the have their ideas valued.
