Chol presents ‘Flock of Stories’ at RSPB Old Moor‘s reserve for their first Heritage Day! There is free entry to the reserve. Come along to discover more about the Dearne Valley’s history alongside the wildlife there today.

Heritage Day
Flock of Stories is a brand new theatre performance devised and created by Chol. The performance has been inspired by oral histories collected over the last 6 months from the Dearne Valley area. On the 26th of September Flock of Stories will premiere at RSPB Old Moor nature reserve. There will be two performances at 11.15am and 2.45pm. Audiences will experience a day of music and theatre as we will be joined by Rockingham Brass Band. Rockingham Brass Band, once a Colliery band, is one of the oldest bands in the country. Founded in 1850, the band is still active and thriving in the Yorkshire region.
Alongside theatre and musical performances, audiences will be able to explore the natural heritage of Old Moor with wildlife guides and family fun activities activities. There will even be a chance to share your own stories and memories. This will be part of our ongoing oral history project, collecting stories from the community.
We look forward to seeing you there!
