We’ve been busy working with our The Mix actors from Oakwood School developing their portfolios for their Bronze Arts Award. It’s been fantastic to revisit the work achieved in Taking Back The Town and exploring the journey they’ve made from the very first Drama Workshop, to the performance on 2nd May.
I’ve learnt how to have faith in myself, normally I’m usually self-conscious but I’ve learnt to trust myself and being part of such a big project is awesome! Courtney Quinn, aged 15.
It’s been inspiring to listen to their individual journey and their continued passion for the Arts. The projects we embark on encourage new friendships and it is clear the impact that The Mixhas had on this group of young performers. It’s exciting knowing that their creative journey as a group is continuing with a yearning to be part of more theatre projects in Rotherham.
